Everything you need to know to run a great Gudnak event and earn shard points for your players.
Your event was automatically posted to the Gudnak Discord. Share the event link with your local community, game store, and social media to get more players.
Go to your event's manage page to find your check-in QR code. Print it out or have it ready on your phone. Players scan this to check in and earn shard points.
Players need a verified email on their Gudnak profile to earn shard points. Remind them to set this up before the event so they don't miss out.
Put the QR code somewhere visible — on a table, projected on a screen, or on your phone. Players can scan it anytime during the event to self check-in.
If someone is new, help them create an account at players.gudnak.com. They can set up their profile, verify their email, and check in all from their phone.
That's it. Run your event however you want — casual games, tournaments, learn-to-play sessions. Gudnak Organized Play works with any format.
If any players didn't scan the QR code, you can manually check them in from the manage page. Select their names and confirm to award them shard points.
Consistency is key. Regular events build your local community. Players keep coming back when they know there's always a game to play.
Every checked-in player with a verified email earns shard points. The more players, the more points everyone gets.
| Players Checked In | Points per Player | Founding/New Store |
|---|---|---|
| 1 – 3 | 0 (need 4+) | 0 |
| 4 – 15 | 5 | 10 (2x) |
| 16 – 31 | 10 | 20 (2x) |
| 32+ | 20 | 40 (2x) |
Tip: Events at founding stores or stores less than 90 days old earn double shard points. If your store just joined Gudnak, now is the time to go big.
You only need 4 players to earn shard points. Don't worry about getting 30 people right away — consistent small events grow naturally.
Share your referral link alongside the event. When new players sign up through it, you earn 5 shard points per referral.
"Every Tuesday at 6pm" is easier to remember than one-off events. Regularity builds habit and habit builds community.
If your QR code gets shared publicly and you want to lock check-ins to people actually at the event, regenerate it from the manage page. Old codes stop working immediately.
